The Christmas spirit is sooooo in the Philippines already. It's quite overwhelming for me since I haven't really felt a strong Christmas spirit before because numero uno, Indonesia is a Muslim Country and numero dos, I usually arrive in the Philippines on the 2nd or 3rd week of December so I don't get to feel too much of the Christmas intensity. But now, it's amazing, and I can't wait for simbang gabi, because I wanna experience things which I haven't really done during my 8 years of stay in Jakarta. I mean every Christmas we DO go back to Cebu, but this year is just different. I can feel it.
I had great news last night and I was uber-happy. My mom is arriving on the eve of the 24th with my sister from Jakarta. She told me a few weeks ago they wouldn't be coming since we spent too much on airfare this year. My homecoming last May, her visit to Cebu last July, my sembreak in Jakarta last month and my dad's visit to Cebu last month as well. She said we should save since it's my 18th birthday next year, and we're going to HK (for the 3rd time). But I forced her to, because it's my first Christmas that I'm actually living alone and I don't wanna be alone. I wanna with my family! Too bad only my mom and sister are coming back and not my dad coz he already came here last month and he's got this new employer and everything.
I wish this Christmas would be better than all Christmases, because each year does get better and better for me and I'm glad. I hope the end of this year would be EXTRA-special. This is a new life for me, and I'm loving it.
