Ugghh I'm sick! It just sucks down to the core. I'm having the flu, my frequent visitor the tonsilitis and my ears are blocked. The other night I was chatting with Jhed and suddenly my eardrums just lost its control and vibrated. Fuck, I was soo freaked out I thought I was gonna die. I hate being sick. Why am I sick anyway? It's not like I've been active with life. I mean I stay at home pretty much all the time in front of the computer. Besides that I just go to class every Tuesday and Thursday and the occasional hang outs with my friends. Ugghh seriously. I haven't smoked a BUTT of cigarette since Saturday and the weather in Jakarta is perfectly fine. Probably some virus my sister has or something. This started 2 nights ago.
Anyway the hell with getting sick, I wanna talk about my passion. Something I've been neglecting for a while in the blogging world coz of the LOVE (yearight), FOOTBALL and what-not rants.
I just got 2 new albums. One I bought the other night which was Ministry of Sound Annual 2006 and Matisyahu's Youth which my best friend bought for me when she was in Manila (thanks bez!).
I can say that Ministry of Sound was pretty much a smart buy for me. I needed to get out of my comfort zone and buy a new flavor of albums. I was never really into compilation albums but I considered this one. And I never had a DANCE album before, it's usually all the albums of Eminem, Coldplay, Dashboard Confessional some emo stuff and RHCP. It's a good listen and it's a little bit nonstop with really high-class dance tunes. It's not necessarily danceable, it also gives the CHILL vibe. I love this album. :)
Matisyahu is a different style of reggae, I thank my best friend for buying it for me. King Without a Crown is definitely my survival song anywhere. The album sticks to reggae but he mixes different flavors into it, like acoustic and very listen-worthy beats. :) The term Zeemaamaayoyo is very distinct in most of his songs. Some might find it irritating, but I find it fun.
Wanna know the worst example of REGGAE?? Paris Hilton's new song Stars Are Blind. WTF is that? I can't stand it. Perfect example of BAD MUSIC.
...it might be a softcore porn video with really bad music playing in the background, I can't really tell. but if it is her music video, then let me just say that until now, I didn't know that Paris Hilton singing reggae would be synonymous with Paris Hilton sound like a dying cat. - JordanIsYourHomeboyLOL. Haha..
